The respective Board that is relevant to the professional license in question has final authority on the acceptance of courses for PDH credit.
An engineer may not receive credit for the same course more than once, regardless of whether the course is taken in person, online, or through distance learning. An engineer who attends a seminar two times within the two-year renewal period may only receive credit for one instance.
All licensed professional engineers are responsible for maintaining records of their compliance with the PDH requirements in their respective jurisdictions. These records must be made available to the pertinent Board or its designee upon request and must be maintained for the period specified by their respective Boards or state statutes, from the date of the last credit claimed.
Failure to comply with the PDH requirements stipulated by a state Board or statute may result in disciplinary action against the engineer’s license.
